About the Author Frederic (Ric) Martini Author Dr. Martini has done his Ph.D. From Cornell University in Comparative and Effective Physiology for Work-Related to Stress Pathophysiology. In addition to professional publications, which include journal articles and contributing chapters, technical reports, and journal articles, he is the lead author of ten undergraduate textbooks on anatomy and physiology or anatomy. Dr. Martini is currently associated with the University of Hawaii in Manoa and has a long-standing relationship with the Shoals Marine Laboratory, a joint venture between Cornell University and the University of New Hampshire. He has been active in the Society of Human Anatomy and Physiology (HAPS) for 24 years and was a member of the AOP Curriculum Guidance Committee.
