About the Author Elaine N. Marieb Elaine N. Marieb, she received her Ph.D. In zoology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Elaine N. Marieb joined the school of the Biological Sciences Division of Holyick junior college. While teaching at Holokay junior college, where many of his students were pursuing nursing degrees, he developed a desire to raised understand the connection between the scientific study of the physical body and therefore the clinical aspects of nursing practice. Dr. Marieb also contributes to the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he provided funding for the reconstruction and instrumentation of a state-of-the-art cytology research laboratory.
